Employment Opportunities in Frederick Maryland

11/16/2008

The most amazing thing about living in Frederick MD and working elsewhere is that unless you’re commuting South of Frederick, towards Montgomery County, MOST of the time you’ll be heading against the grain of traffic.  For example if you choose to move to Frederick and work in Hagerstown, when every body else is going down South Moutain, you’ll be going UP and mostly by yourself!

Why not just move to Hagerstown? Because the chances of your property values skyrocketing when the smoke clears with the credit crunch and housing bubble bust… you’re going to be a LOT better off buying a home in Frederick.

It’s well known that Montgomery County’s Technology Corridor is a mecca for computer geeks and chemistry types, it seems that quite a bit of geneome mapping and the like is going on there… but can you afford to actually live there?

This is $8,885 more than the median income of Maryland, $65,144.
